Cau was one of three players signed by Darlington from French National Division club GFCO Ajaccio on the transfer deadline. He made his debut the following week when he came on from the subs bench against Leyton Orient but the proliferation of strikers at Feethams in the latter part of the season limited any further opportunities. He is a tall and skilful forward who likes to take on opponents.
