It was not until mid-September that Jason was able to resume first-team action for Peterborough United following the knee injury he had picked up during the 1999-2000 end-of-season Play-Offs.
After a brief run in the team, he was again sidelined by injury at the turn of the year, but after a cartilage operation he returned to action before the summer break.
A big and awkward striker, he showed his goalscoring potential for Posh by netting seven times from 18 starts.
Jason joined Falkirk in August 2003 in a two-year deal before joining Boston United in July 2004 with a one-year contract that was extended to June 2006 in April 2005.
Jason joined Northampton Town in January 2006 with a contract to the end of the season.
He then joined Notts County with a two-year contract.
