Kearton was again first-choice 'keeper for Crewe Alexandra at the beginning of last season but lost his place at the turn of the year to Ade Bankole and only returned to the side at the very end of the campaign. A very popular 'keeper with the Gresty Road faithful he made over 200 appearances for the Railwaymen before returning to Australia.
