Jason Crowe

Crowe joined Arsenal as a schoolboy, played for the England Under-18 team and signed professional forms with Arsenal in May 1996.

His debut was as a substitute in a League Cup game against Birmingham City in 1997 - he was only on the pitch for 33 seconds before being sent off for a high tackle.

He found his first team chances restricted by the excellent form of the Gunners back four he spent a time on loan at Crystal Palace.

He decided to take a chance and step into the First Division and signed for Portsmouth in July 1999 for a £500,000 fee.

He was left out of the Portsmouth team early in the 2000-01 season, Crowe was loaned out to Third Division Brentford for two months in the autumn.

Fast and with good positional sense, he looked well above Second Division standard and on his return to Fratton Park when he was given an extended run in the Pompey first team.

A talented young right wing back, he has good man-to-man marking skills and is also effective as a sweeper.

He was a regular first team member until a foot injury he sustained in February ruled him out of the rest of the 2001-02 season.

Crowe joined Grimsby Town on a two-year contract in August 2003.

His contract at Northampton Town was extended to June 2009 in June 2007.

He re-joined the Cobblers in November 2011 with a contract to January 2012 that was then extended to June 2012.
