Jamie Pollock joined Crystal Palace in the 2000 close season adding bite and experience for the Eagles' in the centre of the park. He proved a useful acquisition and contributed four goals before a sending off led to a period of suspension and shortly after his return he was placed on the transfer list.

A loan move to Birmingham City followed as Blues' manager Trevor Francis sought cover for injuries to Danny Sonner and Martin O'Connor, but despite playing for the club at a difficult time he tried his best and always worked to make things happen.

He is a combative midfield player who is sharp in the tackle and always gives 100 per cent.

Jamie's contract at Crystal Palace was cancelled in August 2002 by mutual consent.

He subsequently returned to his native North-East to become Spennymoor United's player/manager in January 2003.
