A former England Under-18 international, Jamie was unable to break into the Everton first-team squad in 2000-01 and signed for Third Division Blackpool on the transfer deadline.
A slight midfield player who has excellent delivery from dead-ball situations, he made his debut for the Tangerines as a substitute at Macclesfield Town and was mostly used from the subs' bench in the closing stages of the campaign.
