This hard-tackling midfield player eventually signed a new one-year contract with Crystal Palace in the summer of 2000 and featured in the first three games of the 2000-01 season before being dropped.

Jamie Fullarton was later one of a number of players placed on the transfer list at Selhurst Park and, in November 2000, he signed for Scottish Premier League club Dundee United.

His career at Tannadice Park had hardly begun when he suffered a serious ankle injury at Kilmarnock that put him out of action for several months.

Jamie returned to London on the eve of the 2002-03 season to join Brentford on a non-contract basis with a permanent deal soon agreed to the end of the season.

His subsequent contract with Southend United was cancelled in March 2004 before joining Chesterfield on non-contract terms.
