James Obioroh

Another of the excellent young players to emerge from Nigeria he began at domestic club Plateau United then played at Kwara Bombers and Enyimba before signing for Swiss side Grasshoppers Zurich in 1996. He briefly left to play for Dutch club Anderlecht but returned to Switzerland and established himself in the Grasshoppers team. At international level he was captain of the Nigerian under 17 team at the 1995 World Championships but only recently made his full debut and did not take part in qualification. A tall dangerous forward he is likely to play here from the bench. He joined his current club Lokomotiv Moscow in 2001 and has scored several important goals for his club.
