Jake Forster-Caskey is the son of former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Darren Caskey and the stepson of fellow Brighton & Hove Albion player Nicky Forster.

He changed his surname from Caskey to Forster-Caskey in 2011.

At 16 years and 13 days, Jake became Brighton's youngest-ever player when he made his debut against Yeovil Town in League One on the final day of the 2009-10 season.

The previous record holder was Simon Fox who was 16 years and 238 days when he made his debut against Fulham in the Second Division on 23 April 1994.

His Albion contract was extended to June 2015 in June 2012 and to June 2017 in July 2014.

He joined Charlton Athletic in January 2017 with a contract to June 2019.
