Signed as a provider of goals rather than a scorer, Jack Lester produced a pleasant surprise by netting seven times for Nottingham Forest in the early part of 2000-01, all his efforts coming away from the City Ground.
Amongst these was a fine hat-trick in the 3- 1 win at Gillingham in November, however shortly afterwards he suffered a bad groin injury against Portsmouth that was to keep him out of action for the remainder of the campaign.
He is a small but effective striker with pace, skill and an excellent work rate.
Jack returned to Nottingham Forest in November 2004 with a contract to June 2007.
He joined Chesterfield in July 2007 with a three-year contract that was extended to June 2011 in July 2009.
