Position | Defender |
A classy central defender he has only recently become a regular member of the international squad. He began his career at Torpedo Moscow in 1987 and played for six seasons with one season spent at Lokomotiv Moscow in 1990. He joined Lokomotiv Moscow again in 1994 and had eight seasons most as captain before moving to Uralan Elista in January 2002. At international level he made his debut in 1996 against Israel but has not been a regular team member because of the well- established partnership between Yuri Nikiforov and Victor Onopko. He is best at a libero role and is an excellent replacement if he comes on from the bench.
