Having recovered from the groin injury that affected him in the closing months of the 1999-2000 campaign, Ian returned to the Plymouth Argyle starting line-up on the opening day of 2000-01, but it was not until the New Year that he finally put his injuries behind him.
He went on to produce some consistent performances, finding the net regularly and ending the season as the club's leading scorer with 12 goals in all competitions.
Ian, who is a big strong striker with an excellent eye for goal, joined Wycombe Wanderers in July 2004 with a three-year contract.
After a series of injuries, he announced his retirement in March 2007.
