Stevens enjoyed something of an Indian summer in his career after joining Carlisle in August 2000. He scored in five consecutive appearances early in the campaign and netted four goals in the 5-1 FA Cup first round victory over Woking, the best haul by any United player for almost twenty years. Arguably his most important strike however, was the goal he scored at Barnet to clinch victory in a game that was ultimately decisive in keeping the CumbrStevenss in Division Three. A hard working striker with the ability to be in the right place at the right time he has scored consistently throughout his career.
