Horacio Carbonari

Date of birth02 May 1973
Place of birthArgentina
NationalityArgentine
Weight84 kg
Height1.91 m
PositionDefender/Centre back

Enjoying his third season at Derby last term, Horacio was one of the more consistent players in the Rams' defence. Preferring to play in the pivotal role within a three-man back line he found it harder when asked to play in a back four formation. He possesses a thundering shot often seen at dead-ball situations and this has led to him receiving the nickname 'Bazooka'. Not the quickest of players, he compensates for this with an excellent ability to read the game. Although he suffered two successive red cards early in the season he was a model of consistency upon his return, the arrival of Colin Todd as coach making a notable difference.
