After enjoying a promising start with Watford in the Premiership, Heidar had a rather disappointing time in 2000-01.
He missed the opening of the season with a shin injury, but was soon off the mark at home to Sheffield United and went on to find the net in four consecutive matches.
However as the campaign progressed, he hit a frustrating goal drought which gradually eroded his confidence and eventually saw him relegated to the subs' bench.
An all-action centre forward, he finished the campaign with eight goals.
Heidar joined Bolton Wanderers in July 2007 with a three-year contract.
After a loan spell, he joined Queens Park Rangers in January 2009 with a contract to June 2011 that was extended to June 2012 in June 2011 and to June 2013 in December 2011.
Heidar joined Cardiff City in August 2012 with a one-year contract.
