A surprise replacement for the injured Chokri El Ouaer he is the most experienced goalkeeper in the squad. He spent most of his career at Gueugnon, spent a year at Nancy before returning to Gueugnon in the summer of 1992. He stayed for another six seasons before joining Bastia in the winter of 1997. He made his international debut soon after and was back up goalkeeper in the 1998 World Cup Finals he has not been a member of the squad since 1998 and so played no part in qualification. He may force his way into contention, as he is relatively more experienced than the other two goalkeepers.
