In 1897, Harry became the first Liverpool player to achieve full international honours.

The Reds' centre-forward for the second half of their inaugural Football League season, by the time he won a second Second Division champions medal in 1896, he had been converted to an outside-left.

His growing versatility served him well during the rest of his tragiacally truncated career.

He died of tuberculosis, aged 26.

Harry also played for local amateur team, Liverpool Nomads.

Although commonly known as Harry, he was christened Thomas Henry.
