This young Finnish defender came to West Ham United on loan during the Scandinavian close season and produced a series of excellent performances culminating with a superb display in the FA Cup fourth round tie at Manchester United when he helped the Hammers secure a surprise victory.
However, although boss Harry Redknapp was keen on a permanent deal, no agreement could be reached on a fee and he returned to Viking.
