Greg Shields

Date of birth21 August 1976
Place of birthFalkirk
NationalityScottish
Weight71 kg
Height1.75 m
PositionDefender

Shields was beset by injury problems in 2000-01 and as a result he only started four first-team games for Charlton Athletic.

Even when fit he found it difficult to displace new signing Radostin Kishishev in his favoured right-back position and he appeared in a central defensive role for the Worthington Cup tie against Stoke City.

Shields is a very capable defender who is strong in the tackle and has the ability to push down the flank and deliver an accurate cross.
