Pinkney is a scholarship boy who was a regular in Lincoln's reserves last season before making his senior debut when he came on as a substitute for the final few minutes of the FA Cup first round tie with Bracknell Town. He was also an unused sub on several occasions. He is a central midfield player who showed plenty of promise in his first season at Sincil Bank.
