Grant Holt

As a promising young striker, Grant Holt featured in a handful of games for Halifax Town in the early part of 2000-01 and scored with a header in the Worthington Cup tie against Tranmere Rovers in what proved to be the only occasion that he made the starting line-up.

He subsequently spent most of the remainder of the campaign out on loan, firstly with Workington and later with Barrow before being released in May.

Grant went on to score 54 goals in 113 appearances for Barrow before joining Sheffield Wednesday for a nominal fee on Transfer Deadline Day in 2003.

He moved on to Rochdale in January 2004 with a contract to June 2006 that was extended to June 2007 in July 2005.

Grant joined Nottingham Forest in January 2006 with a contract to June 2009.

He joined Shrewsbury Town in June 2008 with a three-year contract.

Grant joined Norwich City in July 2009 with a three-year contract that was extended to June 2014 in April 2011 and to June 2015 in July 2012.

He joined Wigan Athletic in July 2013 with a three-year contract that was cancelled in January 2016.

Grant re-joined Rochdale in February 2016 with a contract to June 2016.
