Unable to win a regular place in the Hibernian team, Grant joined Stockport County for a three-month loan period only to suffer a knee injury in only his fourth game for the Hatters. A cartilage operation followed and although he forced his way back into the first-team picture he returned to Easter Road where he featured regularly in the closing stages of the campaign. A talented playmaker in the centre of the park he is skilful on the ball and has a good eye for goal.
