Although absent from the early-season matches with a knee injury, Graeme went on to enjoy a productive and consistent season with Reading in 2000-01.
He opened his scoring account for the Royals with a long-range effort in the home match with Bristol City but had to miss the Play-Off games against Wigan Athletic after being injured in a training ground clash of heads, the knock being severe enough to warrant him being taken to hospital by air ambulance.
A right-sided player who is best in a wing-back role, he covers the ground quickly, makes well-timed last-ditch tackles, and shoots on target.
Graham's contract at Reading was extended to June 2007 in July 2004, then to June 2008 in December 2006.
Graeme joined Southampton in August 2009 with a one-year contract.
