Signed by Clyde from Port Glasgow, Gordon Greer was hailed as the new Alan Hansen during his one season with the club.
As soon as promotion to the Premier League was assured, manager Graeme Souness wasted no time in making him his first top-flight signing for Blackburn Rovers.
Gordon joined Doncaster Rovers in July 2007 with a two-year contract.
He joined Swindon Town in July 2009 with a two-year contract.
Gordon joined Brighton and Hove Albion in July 2010 with a three-year contract that was extended to June 2014 in May 2013, to June 2015 in August 2013 and to June 2016 in December 2014.
He joined Blackburn Rovers in August 2016 with a one-year contract.
