A teenager of whom much was expected at Manchester United.
A fast, tricky, striker, he did well in United's reserve side in 2004-05.
His contract was extended to June 2010 in July 2006.
This Italian-American joined Manchester United's Academy as a 17 year old.
A prolific scorer, it seemed he would soon cement his place in the first team.
A clever player with a wonderful left foot, he was allowed to move on to Villarreal however.
