Noel-Williams was again a regular in the Watford line-up in 2000-01 despite being hampered by a nagging leg injury.
He was also absent in the New Year following a groin operation but returned to first-team action before the end of the campaign.
At his best, he is a splendid centre forward in the traditional style, capable of holding the ball up well, getting on the end of crosses and leading the line with aplomb.
Following his release by the Hornets, Noel-Williams joined Stoke City in May 2003 on a two-year deal but was made available for transfer in January 2005.
He joined Burnley in July 2005 with a two-year contract but was made available for transfer in May 2006.
