Signed by Birmingham City for a new club record fee in the 2000 close season, Geoff had an up and down campaign for the Blues in 2000-01.

Hampered by a series of niggling injuries, he rarely operated at full capacity but nevertheless finished as Blues' leading scorer in all competitions.

He seemed to save some of his best performances for the Worthington Cup ties, terrorising the Newcastle United defence in the Fourth Round tie and then scoring twice in the semi-final second leg win over Ipswich Town.

The final against Liverpool, when the team came so close to victory, was another high point.

He scored fairly regularly throughout the campaign, netting his last goal in the Play-Off Semi-Final second leg at Preston North End when Blues again lost out on penalties.

A big bustling centre forward his aggressive style, determination and close control makes life hard for opposition defences.

Geoff joined Wigan Athletic in September 2003 on a three-year contract but then signed for West Bromwich Albion three months later for another £1million fee with his Baggies contract also up to June 2006.

This was extended to June 2007 in August 2005.

Geoff was made available for transfer by Sheffield United in December 2006.

He joined Lincoln City in January 2009 with a contract to the end of the season.
