Gavin Peacock

In a high profile career this attacking midfielder made a habit of being in the right place at the right time. Many observers believe the task of avoiding the Third Division would have beyond even Kevin Keegan's salvation had it not be for Gavin's contribution earlier in the 1991-92 season. He then played a key role in United's promotion to the Championship before returning south. He is the son of Charlton Athletic stalwart Keith Peacock. In his 600 first team appearances Gavin scored an impressive 145 goals but he was also tenacious in the tackle and his never-say-die approach was an inspiration to those around him. Gavin was a regular in QPR's first eleven in 2000-01.

Gavin briefly returned to the top flight during his loan spell at Charlton Athletic before returning to QPR where his contract was terminated by mutual consent in July 2002.
