Hartlepool's most experienced player had a frustrating time in the 2000-01 season due to missing long spells through injury. Having been absent at the start of the campaign due to a suspension, he had a run in the team at centre half before an achilles injury flared up. He was then out of the first-team picture for the remainder of the season apart from the briefest of re-appearances. A tough tackling no-nonsense defender he was released by Pool at the end of the season.
