Edds broke through to feature a number of times for Nottingham Forest in the second half of 2000-01, scoring his first-ever senior goal in the 3-1 win over Grimsby Town.
He is a promising defender who is strong in the tackle, shows great awareness with his passing and possesses a fierce shot.
He was called up for the Australia Under-20 team in the summer of 2001 and appeared for them in both the East Asian Games and World Youth Championship tournaments.
Edds was one of five Forest players released at the end of the 2001-02 season.
He originally joined Swindon Town on a month-to-month basis before soon agreeing a one-year contract.
Edds was made available for transfer by Bradford City in January 2004.
His contract at Milton Keynes Dons was extended to June 2007 in August 2005.
Edds was made available for transfer in August 2006 before his Dons contract was extended to June 2008 in June 2007.
He joined Tranmere Rovers in July 2008 with a two-year contract.
