Green continued to progress at a steady rate with Peterborough United in 2000-01 and featured regularly in the first-team squad although he was often used from the subs' bench. A quick and powerful young striker he scored seven goals.
Green joined Lincoln City in September 2003 on a three-year deal.
He joined Macclesfield Town in July 2007 with a two-year contract.
