Federico Macheda played for Lazio during his youth career.
Manchester United were able to sign him before his 18th birthday.
He made a sensational Premier League debut, still only 17, against Aston Villa with United struggling.
Federico scored a wonderfully executed goal soon after coming on as a substitute to give his team a priceless victory as they closed in on the title.
His contract at United was extended to June 2014 in December 2009.
