One of the heroes of French CFA (fourth division) club Calais's incredible run to the 1999-2000 cup final (they were only defeated by a last minute penalty in front of 78,000 fans), Emmanuel opted to cross the Channel for a career with Leyton Orient last February. He made his debut from the subs' bench against Halifax and also featured against Torquay but struggled to adjust to the pace of the full-time game at times. A left-footed midfield player with plenty of vision he was reported to have returned to Calais during the summer.
