Full name is: Elkeson de Oliveira Cardoso.
Elkeson's Chinese name is Al Kesen or Al Er'kesen. In Cantonese, he is known as Ngai Git-san.
Elkeson received his first call up for Brazil national team in September 2011 for the Superclásico de las Américas against Argentina but did not play.
After gaining Chinese citizenship, Elkeson was selected for the China national team in August 2019.
