Having played all his football at Auxerre, his performances forced him into the reckoning for France's World Cup 2002 squad.
He is a lethal finisher with excellent pace.
Cisse's move from Auxerre to Liverpool for £14.5 million made him Liverpool's most expensive signing ever.
Djibril joined Queens Park Rangers in January 2012 with a contract to June 2014 that was cancelled in June 2013.
