A confident and skilful striker, Derek Young joined Aberdeen from Lewis United in October 1996. He made his senior debut for the Dons in the 1997-98 season and has since gone on to win a regular place in the line-up. Having been capped by Scotland at U21 level he looks to have a very bright future in the game. He is the younger brother of Aberdeen midfielder Darren Young.
