Apart from the occasional game out through injury Dean was a near ever-present for Shrewsbury Town last season. A busy midfielder who was always looking to get in the action he tackled back well and displayed accurate distribution, the only minor disappointment was a lack of goals. Dean was one of several players released in the summer as manager Kevin Ratcliffe put his faith in the youngsters on the club's books.
