Xausa played his early football at the University of Portland before trying his luck in Europe. He had brief spells at Port Vale and Stoke City (where he made a single first-team appearance) before signing for St Johnstone in February 1998. He subsequently played in the Netherlands for Dordrecht and then with Inverness Caledonian Thistle prior to joining Livingston in March 2001. A versatile player who can perform either in midfield or as a striker he has been a regular in the Canada squad since 1999 and to date has won 25 caps.
