Born in La Trinite, Martinique, he has apart from a brief spell with Karlsruher in Germany he has played all his club football in France for Strasbourg and Metz. David came late onto the international scene, and qualified for the US through his wife who is an American citizen. He won his first cap against Kuwait in May 1998 and went on to feature in all three of his country's games in the World Cup finals that followed. He was a regular in the squad throughout the campaign to qualify for the Finals. An attacking left back that has great pace his experience should earn him a place in the starting line-up.
