Having featured as a striker for Peterborough towards the end of the 1999- 2000 season David was mainly confined to a midfield role last term. He worked tirelessly throughout the campaign and was very much a steadying hand in the centre of the park. Rarely absent from the starting line-up, he contributed four goals and his efforts were rewarded when members of the supporters' club voted him 'Player of the Season'.
