Morley featured regularly for Southend United in the early part of 2000-01 although he was often used as a substitute.
He eventually moved on loan to Carlisle United in January where he created an immediate impact and quickly earned a permanent transfer.
He scored his first goal for the Cumbrians with a close-range header in the 2-1 win over Mansfield Town and went on to produce some fine performances.
A tall central defender who is good in the air and quite effective in his occasional forays up the field, he can also play in midfield and up front if required.
