England international David Johnson was a teenage sensation at Everton before moving on to Ipswich Town in November 1972.
He joined Liverpool in 1976, forming an effective partnership with Kenny Dalglish and playing a crucial role in the Reds' successes of the late seventies and early eighties.
David also became the first player to score for both sides in Merseyside derbies.
With Liverpool, he won the League Division One title in 1977, 1979, 1980 and 1982, FA Cup in 1977, League Cup in 1982 and European Cup in 1981.
He returned to Everton for a spell in 1982.
