This target man was signed by Lincoln City in the summer of 2000 and started 2000-01 partnering Tony Battersby in the Imps front line.

Dave scored a memorable goal against his former club Brighton & Hove Albion in August but soon afterwards lost his place due to suspension.

He was then mainly used from the subs' bench. He found goals hard to come by in first-team football but netted regularly for City's reserves for whom he finished as top scorer with 12.
