David joined Spurs from Dulwich Hamlet but was unable to break into the first team on a regular basis. David made good progress in the Tottenham reserve team last season, producing several fine performances. His efforts won a call up to the first-team squad and he made a handful of appearances from the subs' bench early in the new year. Often used by Spurs in a midfield role, the promising youngster moved on to QPR in the summer only to be released by the Loftus Road club in January 2002.
