Brammer had a remarkable change of fortunes in the 2000-01 campaign for, having begun the season on the transfer list at Port Vale, he finished it by winning the supporters' 'Player of the Year' award.

He netted four goals including a great individual effort in the local 'derby' at Stoke City and a blistering 30- yard drive to give Vale a 1-0 win at Colchester United.

A busy midfield man, he was at the hub of many of the team's best moves and won numerous 'Man of the Match' awards.

Brammer crowned a fine season by appearing for Vale in their LDV Vans Trophy Final victory over Brentford at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium.

Brammer joined Stoke City in July 2004 with a two-year contract that was extended to June 2007 in August 2005.

He joined Millwall in January 2007 with a contract to June 2009.

After a loan spell, Brammer joined Port Vale in January 2009 with a contract to the end of the season.
