Darren Jones was yet another of the promising youngsters to develop through Bristol City's Academy set-up.
A former Wales schools international, he signed a long-term contract for City in September 2000 and stepped up to make his senior debut from the subs bench in the LDV Vans Trophy tie at Plymouth Argyle.
He is a versatile player who has featured both at centre half and in a midfield role.
He joined Aldershot Town in July 2010 with a one-year contract.
Darren re-joined Newport County in January 2016 with a contract to June 2016 that was then extended to June 2017.
