Danny Williams was very much on the fringes of the Chesterfield first-team squad in 2000-01 and his only start came against Rochdale in March when the club was under a transfer embargo.
The simplicity of his play suited Chesterfield's midfield and he showed he could read the game well and also handle the pressures of senior football.
Danny joined Hereford United in August 2011 on non-contract terms.
