A tireless midfielder and excellent crosser from the right, Danny began his career with Sint-Truiden before joining Standard Liege in 1987. He then enjoyed six seasons at Anderlecht where he won the Belgium Championship on three occasions. He made an immediate impact at Metz, who he joined in 1997, playing alongside Robert Pires to push them close to La Championnat in France. Following a series of disagreements, he moved back to Sint-Truiden on a two and a half-year contract. Danny began his international career against Denmark in 1989, and earned a recall at the age of 35 for the World Cup qualifier against Latvia. He is unlikely to be more than a squad player in Japan and South Korea.
