Bacon managed to stay clear of serious injuries in 2000-01 and featured regularly in the Mansfield Town squad, although mainly used from the subs' bench.
He is a fast and skilful striker who always causes defenders problems and, if he continues to progress at a similar rate, he should have an excellent future in the game.
He was leading scorer for the Stags' successful reserve side in 2000-01.
Bacon joined Lincoln City in July 2005 with a one-year contract that was extended to June 2007 in April 2006.
Bacon was made available for transfer by Lincoln City in January 2007.
