The skill and electric pace of this early-season loan signing from Southampton made him an instant hit with the Bristol City fans, but unfortunately he suffered a fractured ankle just before half time in the 4-0 home win over Reading at the end of October and this brought his stay at Ashton Gate to a premature conclusion.
He recovered sufficiently to begin training with Southampton later in the season but then sustained another break that ended all hope of any return to action in the 2000-01 campaign.
Dani joined AFC Bouremouth in July 2004 with a one-year contract that was extended to June 2006 in June 2005.
